Annette Taylor

  • Annette Taylor 1942-2026

  •  Date of Death: August 20, 2026
  •  Location: Bathurst

It is with deep love and sadness that we the family announce the passing of Annette Taylor, on August 20, 2026. Annette was born in Bathurst, New Brunswick, the beloved daughter of James Pitre and Marie-Alice Pitre. Annette was 84 years old.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Taylor, who she is now reunited with.

She is survived by her sister Simonne (Albany) and brother Gerard (Susan) and was predeceased by her brother Roger.

Annette shared a beautiful life with her husband John, and together they raised a loving family. She was the proud mother of Donna (Robert), Donald (Theresa), and Andrew (Kara), and she held a special place in her heart for her late son, Michael (survived by Carolyn) who now welcomes her home in heaven.

Annette was a cherished grandmother to Ami (Cory), Kayla (Remi), Jonathan (Emma), Samantha (Justin), Kassandra, Linzi, and Matthew (Megan), and a proud great-grandmother to her three great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were among the greatest joys of her life, and there was never any doubt just how deeply they were loved. Family meant everything to Annette, and the love she had for each of them was truly immeasurable.

Those who knew Annette will remember her as one of the sweetest and gentlest souls. She had the softest heart, a quiet kindness, and a way of making everyone around her feel loved and cared for. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and, if you were lucky, a slice of her banana bread.

More than anything, Annette will be remembered for the love she gave so freely. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and a beautiful soul whose kindness touched everyone, fortunate enough to know her. Her gentle spirit and the love she poured into her family will live on through them for generations to come.

At her request, there will be no visitation or funeral. A private graveside service will be held later. Donations in memory of Annette may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Forever in our hearts, she will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
