It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Marie Claire Pitre, wife of the late Hector Pitre, which occurred on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, at the age of 76.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Conrad Roy and the late Domitille (Melanson) Roy.

She is survived by her children: Éric Pitre (Selena), Gary Pitre, and Stéphane Roy (Cindy Desylva).

Her grandchildren: Maryse, Miguel, Lucas, and Jonathan (Chloé).

Her great-grandchildren: Maïka, Felix, and Stella.

Her sisters: Maggie Roy and Terrie Roy.

Several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister: Yolande Roy, two brothers: Jean Roy and Bernard Roy. Great-granddaughter: Jade.

A private memorial service will be held.

Donations in memory of Marie Claire may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association or to Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes.
