In loving memory of Bella Smith, 81, who passed away surrounded by family on June 7, 2026, at The Foyer Notre-Dame in Bathurst New Brunswick.  

She is predeceased by her husband Wesley and Daughter Leeann. 

She is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Shane (Sarah) Smith as well as nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Born in Ste Rose, MB, Bella came from a large family of ten children. She is predeceased by her parents, Ivan & Cecile Smith, sister Lorette (Smith) Green, brother Edward Smith & sister Valerie Smith. Brother-in-laws Joseph Green & Fred Hrushowy. 

She is also survived by her siblings: Remi (Velma) Smith; Yves (Eileen) Smith; Evelyn (Bob) Urbanoski; Raymond (Lorrayne) Smith; Barbara (Tim) Bagby; and Valerie Hrushowy.

Over the years she lived across Canada raising her children and having her career and a Hobbie Farm. She dearly enjoyed spending time with her brothers, sisters, family, and wonderful friends she loved as family. Family reunions were always a highlight for her. 

Bella wanted everyone to celebrate her life and not mourn. Should friends so desire, donations in memory of Bella may be made to the Alzheimer Society. 

The burying of the ashes will take place at a later date. The family wishes to thank all the wonderful staff at the Foyer Notre-Dame Bathurst, NB for their attentive care and kindness. Bella, we will love you always and miss you dearly.

EULOGY FOR BELLA MARIE SMITH
 Today, we will honor and celebrate the life of our mother/sister/aunt/friend— a woman whose love shaped everyone around her. Though she never asked for recognition, her impact will be felt for generations. May we remember her with love and live our lives a little kinder in her memory.
