We announce the death of Jude Hussey, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional hospital, after a short hospitalization, on Sunday April 12, 2026, at the age of 87.

He was the son of the late George Michael Hussey and the late Lillian Ann (Melanson) Hussey.

He was a long-time employee of Olivers Gardens and in later years he worked in property maintenance.

He is survived by three sisters: Audrey Harper (late Claude), Norma Doucet (late Clarence) and Grace Roy (late Leonard).

One brother: Bernard Hussey (Ludmila).

He was predeceased by one sister, Gloria Hussey (MCR).

He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was always very devoted to his Christian beliefs and values. At his request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cathedral cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the Doctors, nurses and staff on the 4th and 5th floors of the Chaleur Regional Hospital for their care and compassion towards Jude and his family. It’s greatly appreciated with thanks.

Donations in memory of Jude can be made to a charity of the ones choosing. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home, Bathurst.
