Nigadoo - It is with immense sadness, but also with much love, that we the family, announce the passing of Donald J. White, of Nigadoo, which occurred on February 16, 2026, at the age of 80.

Don spent much of his life in Nigadoo, New Brunswick.

He was a devoted husband, father, and friend whose comforting presence and sincere smile will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 58 years, Colette (Tremblay) White; his daughter Donna White and her husband Serge Doucet; as well as his daughter Linda White. His family was his greatest pride and always held a central place in his heart and life.

A very special tribute is extended to his wife, Colette, who, over the past 30 years, cared for him with exceptional love, patience, and devotion. Her constant presence, tenderness, and strength were a true pillar of comfort in his life. Day after day, she provided care filled with dignity and compassion, reflecting a deep and unwavering love.

He will also be deeply missed by his brothers and sisters, who will cherish many precious memories of him.

Don, whom his coworkers called Donnie, devoted more than 40 years of his life to his trade as a welder, including 38 years at the Smurfit-Stone paper mill in Bathurst. He was known for his exceptional skill and remarkable resourcefulness—a true “jack of all trades.” Nothing ever seemed to faze him; he loved to fix, build, and create, always with passion and generosity.

Above all, he cherished the time spent working side by side with his wife. Their bond and partnership were a beautiful example of love, respect, and dedication.

Don had a deep love for nature and a special affection for animals. Every pet that became part of the family was cared for with tenderness, as if they truly held a place in his heart.

He also found great joy in life’s simple pleasures—especially feeding the birds each morning, a peaceful ritual that brought him serenity and happiness.

The family will received relatives and friends after 1 p.m. Thursday April 16, 2026, at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com) in Beresford, from where a prayer service will be celebrated at 3 p.m.

Don will leave a tremendous void, but his love, values, and memories will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

He will be forever loved and never forgotten.
