It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louis “Belou” Chamberlain on September 25th, 2025 at the age of 83. Louis was born in 1942 in Bathurst, New-Brunswick.

Louis is survived by his wife Justina (Roussel) Chamberlain, his daughter Gail Chamberlain, his granddaughter whom he considered his second daughter, Jessica Chamberlain St-Pierre (Tim), his grandson that he adored, Jessy Cormier and his biggest pride, his great-granchildren, Trent, Mason, Cohen, Haden and Koah. He is also survived by his beloved Murielle White, his brother Walter (Junior) Chamberlain, sisters Rose-Marie Chamberlain and Jeannine Landry (Tony). He was predeceased by his father Walter Chamberlain and mother Bella (Roy) Chamberlain.

Louis did not let his cancer diagnosis stop him from doing the things he loved, he continued to go to bingo, take long drives, visit friends and continued to watch his grandkids. He lived the best life he knew and left this earth wishing that his daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren would find safety in the world without him present. While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering.

In honor of his final wishes, Louis’s remains will be laid to rest near his parents. There will be no visitations, he was firm that visiting him before his death was how he wanted to be seen and remembered. Thank you to all friends and family that came to visit him in his final moments, he felt the love each of you had for him. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025, in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Louis may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
