It is with deep sadness we, the family, announce the passing of Mr. Giuseppe Zambito, who died on August 4, 2025, at the age of 86, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

A pathologist by profession, farmer, winemaker, singer, lifelong learner, and so much more, Giuseppe touched many lives with his wisdom, intelligence, passion, and radiant smile.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Claudette, his two children, Franca and Leonardo, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

He now rests in peace alongside his mother, Francesca Schembri, his father, Leonardo Zambito, his sister, Angelina Ciulla, his brother-in-law, Giuseppe Ciulla, and his brother, Salvatore Zambito.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the entire team of the Extra-Mural Program and the palliative care unit at the Chaleur Regional Hospital for their care and compassion.

There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire Church in Bathurst.

Those who wish may make a donation in Giuseppe’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or to NB Lung.
