Bathurst – It is with great sadness that we the family, announce the passing of Mrs. Susan Ferreira, wife of Carlos Ferreira, of Bathurst, which occurred Saturday June 28, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after an unexpected illness at the age of 56.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Arnold “Ike” and Connie (Watson) Doucet.

Besides her husband, she continues to live through her three sons:

Andrew Ferreira (Kelly Antunes) of Bathurst,

Matthew Ferreira (Samantha Fajardo) and

Erik Ferreira (Anastasiya Pertsyukh) both of Toronto, ON.

One brother, Randy Doucet (Sandra) of South Tetagouche.

One sister, Ann Doucet of Bathurst.

One late brother, Dale Doucet.

Susan was a loving mother who always put others needs ahead of her own. She brought people together; everyone was always welcome in her home. She had a smile that could brighten any room and a laugh so contagious that you could recognize anywhere.

Truly a selfless woman who was taken too soon from the world, but her kindness and love will live on forever.

The family will receive relatives and friends after 10 a.m. Friday July 4, 2025, at Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst, from where the service will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
