The family of Brian Jagoe, Salmon Beach, is saddened to announce his passing on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 84.

Born in Bathurst, Brian was the son of the late Earl and Hazel Jagoe.

Brian is survived by his son, Darcy of Dieppe, and his loving companion of 13 years Sue Burns of Bathurst.

A sister Doris Good of Fredericton. Brother-in-law Sherwood Good. Sisters-in-law: Myrna Good-Hollett, Rena Jagoe and Leona Jagoe.

He was predeceased by his wife Elsie Mae, daughter Kristine and son Kevin. Four brothers: Chester (Chet), Ross, Raymond, and Blake.

Brian worked at the former Stone-Consolidated Paper Mill in Bathurst until retirement and was a lobster fisherman until his health no longer permitted. A lover of the out-door life, Brian enjoyed gardening, hunting with friends, and spending time at his camp. Friends and family will remember the wonderful lobster dinners at the Jagoe home in Salmon Beach.

A graveside service in memory of Brian will be held on Friday May 30, 2025, at 2 p.m. from St. Alban’s Anglican cemetery. A reception will be held at the Bathurst Legion on Bridge Street following the service.

The family would like to thank the staff at Southern Comfort, Bathurst, for their care when Brian was no longer able to live independently in his home.

Donations in memory of Brian may be made to St. Georges Anglican Church, Bathurst.
