Bathurst - Mrs. Sauziana “Suzie” Doiron, wife of the late Raymond Doiron of Bathurst, which occurred on Tuesday May 6, 2025, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 88.

Born in Lameque, she was the daughter of the late Donat and Eva (Raiche) Gauvin.

Suzie retired from the former Chaleur General Hospital as a switchboard supervisor.

She is survived by two daughters: Carole Stever (Brent) and Bernice Winsor (Gary) both of Bathurst. One son, Paul Doiron (Geneviève Gratton) of Mirabel, QC.

Two grandchildren: Gabrielle and Alexis.

One sister, Huberte Lanteigne of Bathurst. One brother, Gérard Gauvin (Odette) of Petit-Rocher Nord.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by brothers: Alonzo, Yvon, Benoit and a sister, Victorienne.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Manoir Brise de l’Oasis and of the Pallative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital for the exceptional care given to Suzie.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, after 1 p.m. Monday May 12, 2025, from where the celebration will be held at 2 p.m.

Donations in memory of Suzie can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
