Sharon Melanson

  • Sharon Melanson 1951-2019

  •  Date of Death: July 31, 2019
  •  Location: Bathurst
It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that the family of Sharon Melanson, wife of the late Peter Melanson of Bathurst, announce her sudden passing while visiting her family in Fredericton on July 31st, 2019 at the age of 68.

Sharon was born in Bathurst in 1951 to the late Leo and Irene (Stever) Aubie. She grew up in Bathurst with her 8 siblings and many friends from the “back roads”.

Sharon married her high school sweetheart, Peter, 47 years ago, and together they had 3 daughters: Rachel Henderson of Toronto, Ontario, Julie Melo (Adam) of Oakville, Ontario and Amy Black (Jeremy) of Fredericton, NB.

Her 3 daughters thought the world of her. She was their constant support on earth and will be their guardian angel in heaven.

Her 6 grandchildren, Sage, Ethan, Mark, Evan, Claire and Avery were her pride and joy and the apples of her eye. She was so proud of their accomplishments, but more importantly, she cherished their kindness and fun spirits.

Sharon was predeceased by her husband Peter, in 2015. She was also predeceased by her siblings David, Ronald, Jean and Shirley. She missed them all dearly and we take comfort knowing they are at peace together.
Sharon is survived by her brothers Gary (Claudia) Aubie, Raymond (Geraldine) Aubie, Robert (Edna) Aubie, and her sister Anne Marie Aubie.

Visitation will be held at Elhatton Funeral Home on Monday August 5th from 7pm – 9pm.   The funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Church on Tuesday, August 6th at 11 am.

Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) in Bathurst.
