Bathurst - Mrs. Helen Gammon, 90, wife of the late Gordon Gammon, of St. Andrew St., Bathurst, passed away peacefully after a brief fight with cancer, on Sunday (November 25, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Captain Frank Curwin and May (King) Curwin. She was a member of the Ladies Auxilary of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. She was the last surviving member of a family of 10 boys and 2 girls. She is survived by: One daughter: Joyce Brewster (Ronald) of Bathurst One son: Kenneth Gammon (Antonia) of Bathurst Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday afternoon (November 28, 2007) at 4:00 p.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst. Burial will be in the United Cemetery, Bridge St., Bathurst. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to a charity of the donors choice.
