Charles Daigle, 85, of North Tetagouche and formerly of St. Peter Ave., passed away on Sunday (March 11, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late James and Louise (Boudreau) Daigle. He was a self-employed trucker until his retirement. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. His beloved wife, the former Leonile Boudreau, passed away in 1998. He is survived by: Five sons: Réginald (Beverly) and Daniel (Mirielle) both of North Tetagouche Bernard (Linda) of Robertville Gilles (Shirley) of Bathurst Jean-Denis (Andrée) of Windsor, ON Three daughters: Colette Karlsen (David) of Goulais River, ON Ernestine Godin (Alphonse) of Bathurst Nicole Langlois (Rémi) of North Tetagouche 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews. 2 sister-in-law; Eva Daigle and Annabelle Daigle. He was pre-deceased by brothers; Gordon, Edgar, Aurèle, John, Gérald and sisters; Evelyne, May and Melda. The body will rest after 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (March 14, 2007) at 4:00 p.m. from Holy Rosary Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until time of Funeral.
