Bathurst – It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Gerard Boucher, which occurred Monday October 26, 2026, at his residence, at the age of 85.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Albert and Winnifred (Doucet) Boucher.

Gerard was the last surviving member of his immediate family and is survived by his wife, Lou (Vienneau) Boucher.

He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

He was retired from the former Brunswick Mines and was a member of the company’s Quarter Century Club and also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Bathurst. 

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday November 3, 2026, at 2 pm from Holy Family Church, Bathurst.  

Donations in memory of Gerard may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
