Robertville – It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Gilles Doucet, spouse of Laurie Couture, of Robertville, which occurred on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 55. 

Born in Montreal, he was the son of the late Clifford Doucet and the late Anita Doucet. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Jérémie Doucet of Moncton. 

One brother, Guy Doucet (Norma) of Bathurst. 

Several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. 

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Monique. 

Gilles worked for the NB Department of Transportation in Nigadoo. He enjoyed playing music and 4X4 runs. 

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at the Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford from 2 p.m. until time of departure for the funeral mass which will be celebrated at 4 p.m. from Sainte-Thérèse-d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Robertville. In memory of Gilles, a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
