Bathurst – It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of Tracy Thibodeau, of Riverside Dr., Bathurst, which occurred Friday August 7, 2026, at the age of 63. 

She is survived by two children: Amanda Brown (Chris) of Fredericton and one son, Evan Thibodeau of Bathurst. One granddaughter, Addison.

She was pre-deceased by her spouse, Serge Bossé.

Tracy graduated from the Bathurst School of Nursing in 1983 and went on to dedicate more than 30 years of her life as a registered nurse at the Chaleur Regional Hospital. She also worked with Extra-Mural and later returned to the Bathurst School of Nursing to teach, sharing her knowledge and experience with the next generation of nurses. She was an incredible nurse, but to say she was simply a nurse would never fully capture what it meant to her. Helping people, caring for others, and teaching those around her was her calling. It was her life, and she took immense pride in the difference she made in the lives of so many.

Above all else, Tracy was fiercely proud of her children. She was their biggest cheerleader and would be the first to tell a story, share an accomplishment, or brag about them to anyone who would listen. And while her children held a very special place in her heart, becoming Nana gave her a whole new kind of happiness. Addison was the light of her life, and being her Nana was one of her greatest joys. She adored her beyond words and was so incredibly proud of her.

To know Tracy was to love her. She had a way of making people feel cared for, welcomed, and at home. And if she wasn't at work, there was a good chance you could find her in the kitchen. The kitchen was so much more than a place to prepare a meal or have a coffee — it was where people gathered, where countless meals were made, where laughter and music filled the room, stories were shared, and problems were solved. It was a place where Tracy loved to be, surrounded by the people she loved most.

There will be no visitations at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday August 19, 2026, at 2pm from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst. Donations in memory of Tracy can be made to a charity of the donors choice.
