It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Ovide Roy, who passed away peacefully on Monday April 27, 2026, at the age of 78. He was the son of the late Avila Roy and the late Virginia Roy.

He leaves behind his children: Stephane of Bouctouche, Sylvain (Linda) Roy of Nicholas Deny, Marie-Josee (Danny) Doucet of Bathurst and Marie France (Anthony) of New Richmond, Qc.

Grandchildren: Sarah (Timmy), Jamie, Jesse, Justin, Austin (Terri), Cedric, Luca, Estebon and Livia.

Greatgrandchildren: Dakota and Kaile.

Siblings: Edouard (Nicole) of Robertville, Jean-Claude of Beresford, Lorinda of Bathurst and Claudette of Robertville.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his daughter Fernande Roy.

The family would like to thank the staff at Matapédia Hospital for all the care provided to Ovide.

Per his wishes there will be no funeral or visitation, a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
