Robertville – It is with deep sadness that we the family, announce the passing of Mrs Anita Blanchard, beloved wife of the late Hector Blanchard, of Robertvile, which occurred peacefully on Thursday March 26, 2026, at the Villa de St-Isidore, at the age of 88. Anita was greatly loved and respected by her family and friends and leaves behind an immense void.

Born in Nicholas Denys, she was the daughter of the late Gérard and Christianne (Arseneau) Haché.

She is survived by her children:  Rodrigue (Anne-Marie Comeau) of Sainte-Louise and Carole (Patrick Foran) of Whitby, ON.

Six grandchildren: Tania, Monica, David, Lisa, Vanessa, Sarah and seven great-grandchildren.

Three sisters: Géralda Frenette (Camille), Hilda Curwin (Morley), Carmella Levesque (feu Pierre) and one brother, Augustin Haché.

Two sisters-in-law:  Aureline Frenette and Évengeline Legresley.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by three brothers: Ivan, Armand and Roland.

Anita lived a life rich in experience and accomplishments, her 1st job was as a teacher in several local schools including the Lugar school where she taught some of her future sisters and brothers-in-law. Active & involved in community & committees, she was proud of having participated in the naming of the Beresford school “Carrefour Étudiant”. Anita also worked as a clerk at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in the maternity ward. A hard worker, she enjoyed helping and cooking for her children and grandchildren. Married to Hector for 65 years, they lived in New Brunswick, Ontario and Florida.

There will be no visitations at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday April 7, 2026, at 2 p.m. from Église Sainte-Thérèse-d’Avila, Robertville. Donations in memory of Anita, can be made to the Sainte-Thérèse-d’Avila parish in Robertville. Arrangements are in the care of Héritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford.
