With celebration for a life so beautifully lived, we, the family, announce the passing of Jeannette “Net” Theriault, wife of the late Stanley Theriault, of Salmon Beach. Jeannette passed peacefully at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the age of 97.
Born in Anse-Bleue, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Aglaeé (Godin) Landry. One of twelve children, Jeannette was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Knowing she is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Stanley, her parents, her siblings, and many dear relatives brings comfort to all who loved her.
Jeannette meant so much to so many. She was loving, caring, and endlessly generous with her time and her heart. She had a reassuring presence and a remarkable way of bringing comfort to those around her.
She will be profoundly missed by everyone who loved her, especially her nieces, the McArdle girls, to whom she was like a second mother. She also held a special place in the lives of Jamie and Allison, who were deeply shaped by her love and guidance, and who will always remain deeply grateful for the meaningful role she played in their lives, as will their families. All of her nieces and nephews were deeply cherished by her, each one holding a special place in her heart.
She leaves a void that can never be filled, yet a deep gratitude for the blessing of having had her in our lives. Though she has left this world, the love she gave will stay with us, leaving a lasting imprint on our hearts and in the lives she touched.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from Elhatton Funeral Chapel, Bathurst, NB (www.elhatton.com).
