It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Yvonne (St. Pierre) Lavigne, wife of Kenneth Lavigne of Bathurst, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the age of 81.
Born in Winchester, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Léo Paul St. Pierre and the late Cécile (Gagnon) St. Pierre.
Yvonne is survived by her son, Robin Mondoux of Ingleside, Ontario; her sister, Suzanne St. Pierre of Gananoque, Ontario; her sisters-in-law, Dianne Riordon (the late Frank) of Bathurst and Theresa Teek (Robert) of Port Perry, Ontario; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Yvonne is predeceased by brothers: Robert, Roger, and Bernard; brothers-in-law: Vincent Jr. (Betty), Burnel (late Doreen), Ronnie (Margaret-Anne); sister-in-law: Marjorie Boucher (late Claude).
Yvonne had a passion for education and was a teacher most of her life. In her spare time, she enjoyed curling as well as a good round of golf. Yvonne will be greatly missed by her husband, family and friends.
The family would like to express our gratitude and special thanks to Yvonne’s caregiver Alvina Allain for her dedication and professional care of Yvonne, with whom she formed a special bond. Also, to the Extra Mural Program and staff of the Chaleur Regional Hospital for their kindness and care.
As per Yvonne’s wishes there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In Yvonne's memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of New Brunswick or a charity of the donor’s choice.
