It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger LeBlanc of Beresford, which occurred on 15 February 2026 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital. He entered eternal rest with his loving wife Marguerite and family by his side. Roger was 90 years young.

Roger was born in Moncton to Isaïe and Denise (Gallant) LeBlanc.

He self-taught electric motor fabrication and repair and took up employment with GE Westinghouse in Moncton before moving over to Montreal Armature in Miramichi and eventually settling in Bathurst.

In 1967, Roger founded what it is still today Rogers Electric in Bathurst. He would eventually sell the company in 1979. He was always proud of what the company had become.

Roger moved on to become the maintenance supervisor for the former school district 4-1 in Bathurst before moving to Chatham and instructing new technicians on a small engine repair course at CCNB Miramichi and moving again, instructing the same course in Moncton. A few short years later he decided to hang up the suit and tie and become a full-time Pépère.

Roger was man of many talents. He always found time to give back to the community. In Bathurst he was involved with UCT, the Bathurst Marching Band and was instrumental in kicking off a neighborhood recreation program. In Moncton Roger and Marguerite dedicated a tremendous amount of time volunteering within their local church and community, subsequently he earned a 4th degree designation with the Knights of Columbus.

Roger was a lifelong sportsman, wrestling in his youth, curling and cross-country skiing in his later years and always an avid fan of televised sporting events and a faithful fan of his beloved Montreal Canadiens at times with a special furry friend curled up on his lap. His real passion was toiling away in his workshop creating wooden masterpieces for friends, firm or family, occasionally fixing appliances, tooling or creating his own tools. As of late Roger even bought himself a small metal lathe to tinker with. He was a wealth of knowledge for woodworking, mechanical and electrical issues, never wavering to lend a hand to help others in their own creative directions and endeavors. Everyone who knew Roger knew he was the go-to guy for and help.

Roger leaves to morn his wife of 69 years, Marguerite (Martin) LeBlanc of Beresford.

His children: Bertrand LeBlanc (Cheryl Peters) of Geary, Bernard LeBlanc (Darlene) and Denise LeBlanc Frenette (Ronald) of Dunlop, Monique Branch (Kenneth) of Clifton and Daughter in Law Theresa LeBlanc of Chelmsford, Massachusetts.

9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren who adored their Pépère.

Roger will be sadly missed by his siblings: Bernice LeBlanc (Ronald) of Moncton, Euclide LeBlanc (Charlotte) of Fredericton, Camille LeBlanc (Anne Marie) of Montreal and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, his oldest son Oneil, brothers: Raymond LeBlanc and his wife Marie and Normand LeBlanc

The family would like to take this time to thank the staff in palliative care at the Chaleur Regional Hospital for keeping Roger as comfortable as possible in his final days with us and to Dr Patrick Eddie for his outstanding kindness, compassion and professionalism.

As per Roger’s wishes there will be no visitation, a funeral service will be held Monday, May 25th, 2026 at 2 p.m. from the Elhatton Funeral Chapel.
