Bathurst - It is with great sadness that the family of Randall “Randy” Smith, of O'Neil Ave., Bathurst, announces his passing which occurred on Saturday February 14, 2025, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 70.

Born in Timmins, ON, he was the son of the late Robert N. and Jean (Stewart) Smith.

He is survived by a brother, Brad (Debbie) of Bathurst.

A niece and nephew, Samantha and Christopher (Holly).

A great-nephew, Michael.

An aunt, Joanne Stewart of Toronto, ON and many cousins.

Randy’s career began at the IP mill in Dalhousie, followed by a move back to Bathurst with Stone Consolidated where he worked as an electrician. Afterwards, he worked at Brunswick Mines, then travelled out west and worked at various construction sites, where he ended his career.

The family would like to thank Albert Pitre for his help with Randy’s boat the “Mona Lisa”, as well as being his chauffer to the Titan hockey games.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in memory of Randy may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
