It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Léola Lavigne wife to the late Walter Lavigne, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Sunday January 18, 2026, at the age of 76.
Born in Néguac, she was the daughter of the late Zoël Allain and the late Amanda (Doiron) Allain.
She leaves behind her two daughters: Kelly Lavigne of Austin Texas and Nancy Lavigne (Dave Hiland) of South Tetagouche.
Two grandchildren: Chloe and Owen.
Siblings: Norbert Allain (Camela) of Neguac, Raymond Allain (Shirley) of Bathurst, Normand Allain (Rachel) of Neguac, Livain Allain (Louisa) of Fairisle, Diane Allain (Léo-Paul) of Néguac, Denise Ferguson (Philippe) of Tracadie, Raymonde Leclair (Roland) of Néguac and Léonida Savoie of Neguac.
Godchildren: Dianna Allain and André Richardson.
Best friends: Linda Kelly, Linda Lavigne and Yvette Lavigne.
Two fur babies: Madison and Tucker.
Several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Bernie Allain, a sister Andréa at a young age.
The family would like to thank her neighbours Alice and Glen Boucher, Bernie Boucher, Liette and Ronald Cormier. As well as the staff at the Vienneau Residence for all the care provided.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday January 26, 2026, from Elhatton’s Funeral Home from 12-2. Funeral Mass will follow at 3 p.m. from Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst. (www.elhatton.com).
