Petit-Rocher Nord - Mr. Wade Lanteigne, husband of Josianne (Dufour) Lanteigne, of Petit-Rocher Nord, passed away suddenly at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the age of 67.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Marion Gauthier of Petit Rocher and the late Alexander “Alex” Lanteigne.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by three children: Linda Lee Lanteigne (Quinn Chaitan) of Riverview, Marc-André Lanteigne (Jasmine Berthiaume) of LaPlante, and Wade Alexander Lanteigne (Mylène Doucet) of Dieppe. His father-in-law: Yvon Dufour and in laws: Serge, Marie-Paule, and Yolande and their spouses.

Four grandchildren whom he adored: Joey (Maria), Jacob, Rosie, and Isabella.

Three brothers: Robert Lanteigne and Kevin Lanteigne both of Petit-Rocher Nord and Michael Lanteigne of Saint John, NB.

Several nieces, nephews, aunts and good friends.

Wade met his soulmate when he was a teenager, and they were blessed with 47 years of marriage. He worked for CNR as a rail maintenance machine operator for 38 years. He loved hunting, fishing, and was a very good gardener and cook. He was most happy at the beach with his wife, kids and grandchildren. After his retirement, he traveled extensively in the Dominican Republic, where he made many friends and was very passionate about his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Fun loving, he was one of a kind with a generous heart, welcoming personality and loved to have a good laugh with family and friends. He will be forever in our hearts and with us in spirit until we meet again.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the Elhatton Funeral Chapel in Bathurst, after 1 p.m., from where the funeral service will be celebrated at 2 p.m. In memory of Wade, a donation to the IWK Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
