It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Kathryn “Kay” Edith Doucet, wife of the late Roe Doucet, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Tuesday May 20th, at the age of 84.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late James and Edith (Kent) Alexander.

She is survived by her two brothers Burton and Earl Alexander. She is also survived by her children Debbie Guitar (Rick), Kathy Lavigne (John), Barbara Doucet (Paul) and Ricky Doucet (Jennifer).

She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Nancy, Chris, Laura, Karianne, Hailey and Jay. Her great grandchildren Ethan, Madison, Aiden, Logan, Kayden, Austen, Kaiden and many neices and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband and her sister Mildred, her brothers Billy, Alton, Bobby and Ronny Alexander.

She was employed at the Royal Bank for many years.

Kay was a wonderful Mother, Nanny and friend to all who new her, always wanting to take care of all of us. She loved knitting, baking, Bingo and being with her family and friends. We will miss her great witt, her laughter and her kindness.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Residence Vienneau for the exceptional care.

As per her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
