Bathurst - Mrs. Patricia "Pat" Brown, wife of Ronald "Ron" Brown, of Brideau Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Monday January 15, 2024, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, at the age of 73.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Doris (Shubley) Murphy.

Pat worked at Shoppers for over 18 years.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons:  Scott Brown of Calgary, AB and Wally Brown (Anne) of North Tetagouche.

Six grandchildren: Tanner, Marshall, Mackenzie, Kylie, Abby and Avery.

One brother, Billy Murphy of Green Pointe.

Three sisters: Joanne Dempsey (Mike) of Stonehaven, Marylyn Smith (Keith Ellis) of Dartmouth,  NS and Audrey Murphy of Bathurst.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by two brothers: Jimmy, Sonny and a sister, Judy.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Friday January 19, 2024, at 2 p.m. from the First United Church, Bathurst. Donations in memory of Pat can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

The family would like to thank the oncology doctors at the George Dumont Hospital in Moncton, Dre. A Bouchard, Dre. Laflamme, Dr Ferguson and the oncology department at the Chaleur Regional Hospital. Also a special thanks to the Extra- Mural Nurses who were available 24/7 and made it possible for her to stay at home as long as possible. Thank you very much Ron Brown and family.
