North Tetagouche – It is with great sadness that we the family, announce the sudden passing of Hunter Rivers Lavigne, of North Tetagouche, which occurred Friday July 14, 2023, at the age of 16.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Mark Lavigne of Middle River and Sherry Donovan of North Tetagouche.

Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother, Keagan Newman of Alberta.

Maternal grandparents: Robert and Marilyn Donovan of South Tetagouche.

Paternal grandmother, Annette Lavigne (late Bernal) of Bathurst.

One uncle, John Lavigne (Maureen Cameron) of Bathurst. 

One aunt, Tanya Donovan (Stephane Daigle) of Bathurst.

Many cousins and friends.

Hunter was a very talented Judoka Sensei and competitor, having won the Atlantic Eastern Championship and the Atlantic Championship.

There will be no visitations at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday July 21, 2023, at 11 a.m. from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Donations in memory of Hunter may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
