It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the death of Geraldine Arseneault of Bathurst, wife of the Lawrence “Larry” Arseneault, which occurred on Sunday, April 16th, 2023 at the age of 95.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Mary Rose (Christie) Comeau.

Geraldine resided in France, Russia, Germany, Belgium for ten years while she accompanied her husband “Larry” who was in the Armed Forces.

Geraldine was an avid seamstress who enjoyed mending all types of clothing, creating her own patterns and clothing for herself, family and friends.

She is survived by her brother-in-law, Leonard (Jean) Arseneau and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters and brothers: Margaret Hachey (Hector), Elizabeth “Bessie” Boudreau (Gerald), Mildred Arseneau (Cleo), Doris Doucet (Jerry), Mary Anne Kenny (Harold), Leonard (Jessie), Denis (Helene) and Gerald (Joy).

Donations in memory of Geraldine can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
