Bathurst – It is with sadness, that we the family, announce the passing of Mrs. Elvina Dugas, wife of the late Louis Dugas formerly of Bathurst, which occurred peacefully on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at the Villa Sormany in Robertville, at the age of 101 and 1 month.

Born in Beresford, she was the daughter of the late William Boudreau and Laura (Comeau) Boudreau.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by her six children: Norbert Dugas (Huguette) and Georgette Vienneau (late John) both of Bathurst, Gilles Dugas of LaSalle, QC, Denise Dugas (Yvon Godin) of Beresford, Gisèle Boulay (Daniel) of Dunlop and Renald Dugas (Suzanne Frenette) of Petit-Rocher.

9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Several nieces and nephew.

Besides her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by son, Jean-Guy, grandson, Michel, daughter-in-law, Anne and three brothers: Clovis, Roméo and Ernest.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Villa Sormany for the excellent care given to Elvina during her stay.

The family will receive relatives and friends after 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, from where the funeral will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Masks will be required.

Donations in memory of Elvina, can be made to a charity of the donors choice.
