1928-2020

It is with great sadness the family of Theodora Melanson, wife of the late Gerald Melanson of Bathurst announces her passing which occurred at her residence, with family by her side, on Tuesday June 9, 2020 at the age of 92.

She was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Elizabeth (Roy) Arseneault.

We lost the most important person in our lives, our mother who was a victim of this terrible disease “Alzheimer’s”. She was a beautiful soul and a very strong person who had nothing but love and care for everyone around her. She will be missed and always in our hearts.

She leaves behind five daughters: Linda (Jean Guy) of Montreal, Suzanne of Bathurst, Cecile and Diane both of Toronto and Theresa (Bill) of North Carolina. Two sons: Gary of Montreal and Paul (Linda) of Toronto.

Along with ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

One sister, Léonie Johnson of Montréal, QC.

Besides her husband Gerald, she was predeceased by a son, Roy.

As per her wishes there will be a private graveside service. Donations in memory of Theodora may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Canada or a charity of the donor’s choice.
