Chamberlain Settlement - Leonard Chamberlain, 63, of Chamberlain Settlement, passed away on Tuesday (June 15, 2010) after a courageous battle with cancer at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Melase and Cécile (Roy) Chamberlain.

He owned and operated L. Maintenance Ltd., former owner of Maritime Steeplejack, he loved to fly his plane and enjoyed motorcycling.

Nancy Sirois (Tommy) of Beresford

Anne Marie Robinson (Andy) of Halifax, NS

Six brothers:

Gerald (Ella) of Ottawa, ON

Maurice (Claudette),

Jean Paul (Diane),

André (Claudette) and

Denis, all of Bathurst

Gilbert (Barb) of Fort Nelson, BC

Three sisters:

Trudy Chamberlain-Sousa (Luis) of Milton, ON

Lucie Montgomery (Russel) of Canoe, BC

Marie Claire Caron (Jean Paul) of Prince George, BC

Seven grandchildren; Tyler, Kelsey, Nathan, Madison, Maleah, Noah and Jannayah.

He was pre-deceased by a sister; Anne Marie.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning (June 19, 2010) at 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Leonard may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
