Bathurst - Mrs. Violette Landry, 93, wife of the late Laurent Landry, of Queen St., Bathurst, passed away on Sunday (June 6, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Robertville, she was the daughter of the late Pierre and Désilla (Pitre) Doucet.

She is survived by:

Cecile Kelly (Everett) of Creston, BC

Evangeline Roy of Bathurst

Sylvia Wheeler of Bobcaygeon, ON

Three sons:

Regis of Tweed, ON

Raymond (Jacqueline) of St. Lin, QC

Three sisters:

Claudia Daigle of Brampton, ON

Doris Richard of Boston, Mass, USA

Lauvina Lagacé of Robertville

22 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by a son; Roger, a brother; Emérild, 5 sisters; Adelia, Imelda, Leona, Edith and Marianne.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday (June 11, 2010) at 2 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Violette may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
