Doucet, Normand - 80, of Helen St., Bathurst, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst he was the son of the late Simon and Louise (Boudreau) Doucet.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1935.  Normand worked for Atlantic Wholesalers for over 30 years.  He enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by:

His wife, Lorina (Couture).

Jeanne Christie of Bathurst;

1 son:

Richard (Susie) of Bathurst;

7 Grandchildren: 

Kayla Christie, Shawn Christie, Dennie Lee Doucet, Jacqueline Godin, Huguette Doucet, Luc Doucet, and Lucie Doucet.

8 Great-grandchildren:

Jeremie, Anabelle, Caitlin, Ryan, Anthony, Zachary, Alexandre and Emilia.

Eveline Boudreau of Bathurst;

He was predeceased by: 

1 daughter:  Jacqueline; 

2 sons:  Vernon and Simon;

2 brothers:  Redolphe and Lionard.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.   A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 at 2 pm  from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.
