Bathurst - Alfred "Freddie" Boudreau, 78, of Donald Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Saturday (March 15, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Beresford, he was the son of the late Cléophas and Ida (Boudreau) Boudreau. He worked for NBTel until his retirement, member of Telephone Pioneers, former member of the Bathurst Curling Club, Gowan Brae Golf and Country Club, Sacred Heart Cathedral Choir and was a very active volunteer in his community. Besides his wife, Yvette (Boudreau) Boudreau, he is survived by: Two daughters: Lynne Boudreau of Bathurst Joanne Boudreau (Allan Menzies) of Dalhousie Two sons: Michel and Marc, both of Montreal Two sisters: Antoinette "Tonie" Roy (Gerry) and Arnie White (Ned Arsenault) both of Bathurst One brother: Ronald Boudreau (Antoinette) of Nigadoo 6 grandchildren; Patrick, Danielle, Melissa, Natalie, Cassandre, Emile, several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother; George, sisters; Anita and Rose-Marie. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday (March 25, 2008) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst, with a reception to follow in the Cathedral basement. Burial will be in the Holy Name of Jesus cemetery, Beresford, in the spring. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
