It is with deep sadness that we, the family share the sudden passing of Philippe (Phil) Pitre, husband of Stacie (Daley) Pitre at Chaleur General Hospital in Bathurst on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the age of 55. He was born in Bathurst and was the son of Edith Pitre and the late Claude Pitre of Bathurst.

Phil was a loving husband of his wife Stacie and a wonderful father to his son Daeton and daughter Danika, both of which loved their father dearly. Phil was an avid sports fan of baseball, football, and hockey. He loved his Expos baseball team and followed them faithfully even after they moved to Washington. He loved playing his guitar as well as the history of music. Phil was very active in the community with minor baseball of which he was two years as President. He also coached Bathurst Minor Baseball for 6 years in which his children were actively involved in. He also followed the kids through all their activities whether it be at the pool, the ball field, or school events. Phil began his career in welding, earning his CWB certification and working as a quality control inspector in the welding industry. He later transitioned into the information technology field, where he most recently worked.

Besides his wife Stacie, he is survived by his son Daeton (Sarah-J) who graduated from Acadia University 2025 and currently is a teacher at Parkwood Elementary School and beautiful daughter Danika who is in her third year at Acadia University (whom he was so proud of both of them). He is also survived by his mother Edith, brother Marc (Tracy) of Edmonton AB and sister Selena (Michel) of Bathurst, mother in-law Carmel Daley, brother in-law Chad (Candice) Daley of Kingston Ontario, and sister in-law Darcie (Mathew) Wiseman of Moncton plus nieces and nephews Brandon, Cameron, Abby, Olivia, Jorja and Ethan.

The family will receive friends and relatives after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday April 7, 2026,  at Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel in Bathurst, from where the service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Donations in memory of Phil will be donated to a charity of one’s choice.

Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home.
