It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Mrs. Marjorie Boucher, wife of the late Claude Boucher of Rough Waters Road, which occurred on Monday June 16, 2025, at the age of 94.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Martina Lavigne.
Marjorie is survived by her four children: Linda Mullen (Dale) of Yarmouth N.S. Robert (Peggy) of Fredericton, John (Claudine) of Shediac River and Christopher (Beverley) of Bathurst.
Her grandchildren: Peter (Jen), Lenora (Blake), Josh (Martika), Jillian, Arron (Meaghen), Marc-Andre (Lisa) and her 12 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Two sisters: Dianne Riordon (Frank) and Theresa Teak (Robert). One brother: Kenneth Lavigne (Yvonne).
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Ronnie, Bernel and Vincent.
She was employed for many years by consolidated Bathurst until she moved to Fredericton with her husband and family to pursue her career with the Federal Government.
Upon retirement she and her family moved back to Bathurst. She loved gardening, cross-country skiing and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
The family would like to express our gratitude and special thank you to Marjorie’s care workers who went above and beyond in her care. Alvina, Debbie, Celine, Marie-Josée and Alice. Also, to the staff on the 4th floor of the Chaleur Regional Hospital.
Marjorie will be missed by her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held Friday June 20, 2025, at 11 a.m. from Elhatton’ s Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’ s Funeral Home, Bathurst (www.elhatton.com).
