Bathurst - Clifford Chamberlain, 77, of St. Mary's Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Wednesday (October 11, 2006), at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a battle with cancer. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Charles and Bertha (Roy) Chamberlain. He was an Industrial Mechanic at Brunswick Mines, retiring in 1989, and was a member of the company's Quarter Century Club. He was a member of the East Bathurst Knights of Columbus. Besides his wife, Leonile (Doucet) Chamberlain, he is survived by: Two sons: Michel Chamberlain (Denise) of LaPlante, NB Arthur Chamberlain (Jeannette) of Bathurst Two daughters: Nancy Legacy (Claude) of Campbellton, NB Paulette Godin (Michel) of LaPlante, NB Three brothers: Thomas Chamberlain (Julia), Vincent Chamberlain (Clara) both of Bathurst Hector Chamberlain (late Della) of Hamilton, ON Two sisters: Gladys Chamberlain (Howard Scott) of Bathurst Eva Roberts (late Norman) of Montreal, Que. 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother; Douglas. The body is resting is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday (October 13, 2006) at 2:00 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Burial will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, St. Mary's Ave., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Friday from noon until time of Funeral.
