Bathurst - It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Gordon "Harvey" Cooper, which occurred at Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes on October 20, 2026 at the age of 79.

Born in Southport, PEI he was the son of the late Lena Cooper. 

He is survived by his loving daughter Cindy, his devoted son-in-law Remi, his beloved son Randy, and his cherished grandson Austin. 

Besides his mother, Harvey was predeceased by his grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Harvey found joy in life's simple pleasures. He had a lifelong love of antique cars, with many pictures of these hung on his walls and model cars on his shelves. He enjoyed spending time on the weekends driving the back roads keeping an eye out for classic treasures or going to antique car shows with his best friend David. 

He loved listening to music and especially the timeless voices of Elvis Presley and Roy Orbison, two of his favourites, which brought him comfort and enjoyment throughout the years. 

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes and all its staff for the care, kindness, and compassion shown to Harvey throughout his time there. 

The moments shared, the memories created, and the love that will always remain will be forever cherished. Though he is no longer with us, he will continue to hold a special place in the hearts of all who loved him. 

In the final days, Harvey reminded us of the words that matter most: "I love you." Those words will stay with us forever, a gift we will always carry in our hearts. 

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
