It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Knowles, wife to William “Bill” Knowles, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Friday August 21, 2026, at the age of 87.

She was the daughter of the late Gordon Jagoe and the late Agnes (Good) Jagoe.

She leaves behind her three children: Harlin (Roger) Knowles of Moncton, Kelly Knowles of Janeville and Kayla Knowles of Clifton.

Her fur babies: Marvel and Chip.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her siblings: Roger Jagoe and Parker Jagoe.

Barbara was big in the community; she was a choir member and a Sunday school teacher at Christ Church Anglican. She also had many hobbies; crocheting, bowling, spending time outdoors which included snowmobiling and camping, cheering for the Toronto Blue Jays and dancing, she was known at Southern Comfort as “the little dancer”.

The family would like to give a big thanks to the staff at the Southern Comfort for all their care and compassion given to Barbara.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday August 27, 2026, from Christ Church Anglican, Clifton, at 1p.m. till time of funeral. Funeral service will be held at 2p.m.

Donations in memory of Barbara may be made to New Bandon, Salmon Beach Volunteer Fire Department or a charity of the donor’s choice.
