It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of Shirley Murphy, which occurred at her residence on Wednesday November 12, 2025, at the age of 83.

Born in Lorne, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester Murphy and the late Stella (Bertin) Murphy.

She leaves behind her two children: Gregory Murphy of Middle River and Linda Narvie (Alfred Jr.) of Eel River Bar.

Three grandchildren: Avery, Beyonka and Teanna.

Five great grandchildren: Kalie, Bentley, Easton, Nova and Coast.

Six brothers: Sylvester Jr., Denis, Lindsay, Lonie, Lee and Cloves.

Five sisters: Brenda, Connie, Sylvia, Alva and Eugena.

Several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Roger and a sister Linda.

As per her wishes there will be no funeral service or visitation.

Donations in memory of Shirley may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home, Bathurst (www.elhatton.com).
