It is with great sadness that the family of Roger Hachey, of Bridge St., loving partner of Stacie Walsh, announces his passing, on Friday, May 2, 2025 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, with family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Roger was 67 years old.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Theophus and Florida (Christie) Hachey.

He will be missed by his children: Eli Hachey and Jenna Hachey.

A grandson, Carver.

One sister, Janet Tilbert and a brother Donald (Rachelle Couture).

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Joan Hachey.

Roger worked for over 40 years in the mining industry. He travelled all over Canada, lastly retiring from Caribou Mines.

Roger enjoyed playing his guitar and singing a tune, he lit up a room during any gathering.

His passions included his gardening and his carpentry skills, having built several camps and garages.

He lived for his wood pile and spent his spare time adjusting to perfection.

As per his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in memory of Roger may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
